Rainy Afternoon Guana Lake

Matt's first topwater Red

Thursday had some bad weather. The storm must have keep everyone off the water.Matt Shennett and I had the lake to ourselves. The afternoon started with a strong South wind ,we slipped in behind a wind break and the action started a lot of Reds waking and feeding but we only pulled one shorty out of it.Then the magic started wind died the lake was like a sheet of glass with Reds waking and feeding everywhere.Matt hooked up with a upper slot Red on a badunkadunk top water plug and missed 4 more in less than a foot of water pretty exciting stuff. I was chasing wakes with shrimp and pulled a few shorts and a 20" slotty. Then we set our sites on some mullet school getting hammered by trout.I haven't seen trout so airborne this year.We both picked up some nice ones the biggest was 25'' If your planning to visit N.E Florida try a kayak fishing trip with us.http://www.actionkayakadventures.com/                                 kayak fishing St.Augustine fishing charters St.Augustine kayak tours Daytona kayak
