Guana lake fishing in a kayak 3/20/2012

     Finding alot of Redfish this Spring.The nice warm weather is making for some good days on the water. Come out and get a line wet.Guana lake is a great place to kayak No tidal current and plenty of areas to get out of the wind.Guana Tolomato Matazas Estuary is a perfect area to enjoy North Florida's outdoors.

Ocala National Forest Kayak Bass Fishing.

Spring is a great time to get on the water. In fresh water bass and crappie are biting good.In Saint Augustine the redfish have been on fire.With sheephead and blackdrum steady too.Two redfish limit in Florida now.       When In I booked this trip the weather was still very hot,so when the group said they were getting in late on a flight and could n,t meet up till 830am I was a little worried that the morning bite would be over and the sun hot .Not the case \.The first cold front of the year came in and the temp was 52 at 7am.That being said it was a fantastic day to be on the water.A bit cold at first but the temp was soon around 70 and the fish were biting.

Kayaking St.Augustine

Had a fun day on the water. The bite was a little slow but we picked up a few.These girls had a great time.One of them had never caught a Redfish or Kayaked before.She caught a few Ladyfish but no Reds.We ended the trip with a tour of the south end of the lake.The last pics are when The girls got out for a little wade fishing.The Ladyfish was winning for a moment.
