Things to do St. Augustine Florida 7/22/2011

This week I had two moms and three kids come out for a kayak fishing charter.I have to say I was very impressed with the ladies for choosing Kayak fishing to spend time with the kids. AS soon as they got to the launch the fun started. The kids were checking out all the cool stuff that nature has to offer. Not long after we left the launch a osprey came down and picked out a mullet just yards from the kayaks The fishing was a bit slow but some shorties helped us out.Three Reds one Trout and a bunch of Lady Fish  ( poor mans tarpon).Kayak fishing is alot of fun for the family get out and give it a try,
   Fishing Report:

Tarpon are on the beaches and the Inlet.Big Reds and Flounder in the Inlet.Reds are feeding along the grass and up on the flats. The Trout bite has been good in the evenings. http://www.actionkayakadventures.com/

guided kayak tours 7/05/2011

I  Had the pleasure of taking out Sheryl and Christy a Mother and her Daughter  for a 2hr evening break away trip.It was a little windy but not over the top.The first spot we stopped Sheryl started things off quickly with 2 nice Trout. After her mom landed 2 Christy was amped to get her fish. She had never used a topwater plug before and gave it a try.I think it was her 3rd or 4th cast she had a big Trout bash her lure just feet from her kayak which not only gave a exciting bite but a good fight. After seeing that Sheryl wanted to give a topwater plug a try but before I could get one rigged she hooked the nicest fish of the trip a 20 1/2in Trout.By the time we snapped some pics it was getting dark so we started our way back.It was awesome that a mother and daughter choose a kayak fishing trip to spend time together. I hope to see them back soon. Come enjoy a kayak trip with www.actionkayakadventures.com

St.Augustine fishing charters 6/28/2011

Got a chance to take Captain James ofhttp://www.drummancharters.com/ out for an afternoon of kayak fishing. The weather could not have been better for it.Slightly raining no wind and the fishing was on fire.James had a great start to his trip with 2 back 2 back huge trout 30in 28in.We snapped some pics of the 2nd one, the first fish james had a client call as he netted the fish.So he released her before I could get to him. After that action had died down we moved 100 yards down and James put a 25in trout on his kayak. After some fast pics we released her and decided to see if the Reds were biting. As we approched the area we could see multuple fish feeding. In 45 mins James landed a nice upper slot red on topwater and I sight fished 4 nice slot size reds. That was a fun trip!
